Drs Emily Gordon and David Ward, authors of a recently published study in the BMJ, will discuss the long journey from study conceptualisation to manuscript publication (and beyond), with a particular focus on how their study was critically analysed before it started and after it was done.

About the presenters
Emily is a Geriatrician at a tertiary hospital in Brisbane and a Research Fellow at The University of Queensland. Her clinical and research interests centre on achieving excellent, person-centred care for frail older patients in hospital, particularly those livigin with dementia.
David is a Research Fellow in Ageing and Geriatric Medicine at The University of Queensland. David is particularly interested in how people’s experiences, behaviours and health conditions can affect their chances of developing dementia as they grow older. A key component of his research is aimed at understanding the complex links between ageing, frailty and the brain.
