How to be an Advocate

Discover how you can make a difference in advocacy—join AFN’s Peta Dampney and COTA QLD’s Darren Young for a public forum on addressing health, social issues, and policy needs for older adults.

Has Seniors’ Month got you wondering what you can do to advocate for yourself and others in need? Join AFN’s Peta Dampney (Consumer Engagement Coordinator) and Darren Young CEO of COTA QLD along with other special guests in a public forum to discuss the importance of advocacy in older person’s health needs, social issues and involvement in research and policy development.

If you are new to advocacy, haven’t started yet or are even well experienced then this online forum is for you. We will come together to all learn from each other and hear from those working in the advocacy field to inspire all of us to continue our own advocacy journeys.
